RULING

Having established that the applicant suffers from the condition of HIV-Aids, I agree with the State Attorney that this is a case deserving of release on bail under the law invoked.

The two sureties should be BYARUGABA PATRICK AND TUMWESIGYE LOIS.

Bail will be granted to the applicant if he satisfies the following conditions: -

1. He is to be released on his depositing Shs. 500,000/= with court.

2. Each of his sureties is to execute a bond of Shs.l0,000,000/= each not cash with court.

3. Appellant is to report to the Chief Magistrate’s Court Kabale every first Wednesday of the month beginning with 5th March 2003 until hearing of his case begins or until alteration of these conditions, whichever is earlier.
